Interiors

Although recently renovated, the Tuscia Historic Residence has delightfully maintained its original features – from the charming terracotta floors to the ceilings with exposed wooden beams, an intimate and comfortable atmosphere is present all over the estate. Furnished with period furniture as to engage with the overall ambience, on the ground floor guests will find the villa’s main living areas. The classic dining room, with its beautiful long hardwood table, comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests for a delicious dinner. Next to it lies the residence’s kitchen – with grey marble countertops and a traditional wood burning oven, the central island allows guests to adventure into a homemade pasta session while appreciating a glass of delicious local wine. In the cozy living room, complete with antique tapestry, is the striking stone fireplace.

The villa can accommodate up to 14 Guests. The sleeping area consists of 4 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with 3 single beds ideal for children, and the entire basement floor (140 sqm. equipped with two toilets) where further 2/4 beds can be housed.

The villa also features 2 tennis tables, 8 bicycles (both for adults and children), swings, cinema room, pool inflatable games, soccer & volley balls, toys and board games, movies. The villa is also equipped with four portable air conditioners

Exteriors

With its park full of centuries-old cedars and long lines of pines and cypresses, perfect for a quick jogging before breakfast or listening to the birds twittering at sunset, the villa welcomes guests looking for an escape from everyday life. The long swimming pool is completely fenced and encircled by comfortable sun beds. Enclosed by the stunning garden upon which the villa stands, the outdoor dining table under the flowered pergola call for guests anticipating strolls through the greenery or just sipping a drink after a relaxing swim. The property has an “elettrosmog free” certification.

Location & Activities

Enjoying a hillside position at only a few kilometers from Rome (45 min), the Tuscia Historic Villa is situated in a region known as Tuscia, formerly populated by the Etruscans. The property boasts a strategic location, very well connected to Fiumicino and Ciampino International Airports, as well as to the seaside. In this area are some of Italy’s most famous medieval towns such as Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio and Viterbo, as well as the relaxing ancient therms “Terme dei Papi” and “Terme di Stigliano”, and wonderful lakes as the nature reserves of Lake Vico and Lake Martignano (Lake Bracciano and Lake Bolsena are easily reachable too). Tarquinia and Cerveteri, ancient Etruscan necropolis protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site are amazing options for quick day trip. Renaissance gardens and palaces are also available for visits, as well as the medieval castle and church of Antica Monterano (Canale Monterano). Furthermore, there are numerous opportunities for sports lovers who, in addition to the countless cycle routes, can count on the presence of numerous centers equipped for the most diverse activities, from golf to horse riding, from tennis to sailing. For wine lovers, the area is home to a number of vineyards and wineries so a wine tasting is a must.
