The most famous historical watch tower of Positano is one-of-a-kind Villa. Built the second half of the 1500s, the Positano  Watchtower is accessible stone stairs from the beach below. For guests’ arrival, the best is to park in town and then take a 5 minute boat trip to the Villa. This service is included in the price of the rental for check in and check out.

Accommodating up to eight people, the Positano Watchtower was built by an artist towards the beginning of the 20th century. Each room is completely unique and the structure is atypical due to its position inside the rock. The living room, with its warm colors and arched ceilings, features seating areas, a bookshelf and desk. This room is particularly notable for its more isolated sitting area with its arched window overlooking the sea.

Further across the estate near the dining area, guests will find a fully equipped kitchen. It includes a dishwasher and overlooks the beautiful beach below. The bedrooms spread out over the entire property – some in the tower, others further along the cliff. Each bedroom is decorated in its own charming way with a unique ceiling and accesses an en-suite bathroom. Large arched windows flood the rooms with light and allow for stunning views. The bedrooms are fully air conditioned.
WiFi is available to guests throughout the Villa.

Please note that the Villa occupies most of the cliff, but that the rental leaves out a few areas restricted to the owners. Guests do however benefit from a private access to the sea.  Total privacy is guaranteed inside the villa, but a couple of the terraces are also accessible from the owners’ areas.

Exteriors

To make most of its prime position overlooking the coast, the Positano  Watchtower features several terraces for guests to soak up the incredible panorama. These numerous terraces allow for different views and exposures, meaning that throughout the day, at least one terrace will always be exposed, and another will always be shaded. Relax and admire the clear blue sea and the opposite Li Galli islands.

The dining area, shaded by stone arches opens up onto the sea and the town of Positano. This allows for guests to enjoy splendid views during meals.
A private stone staircase leads guests down to the sea, for them to peacefully bathe in the clear waters of the Amalfi coast. On the other side, a stone staircase leads down the main beach of Positano, from which guests may enjoy all the local restaurants, bars and attractions. Guests also benefit from a private pier. Upstairs, guests will also find a spectacular gym which also benefits from incredible views of the panorama.

Location

Positano is known as the pearl of the Amalfi coast. This vertical city is completely immersed within the mountain cliff and towers over the world renowned clear blue seas. The Spiaggia Grande and the Fornillo beaches are a must-visit. As well as sunbathing, a visit to the medieval Saracen Towers and the church of Santa Maria Assunta are also highly recommended.
The Villa is also within driving distance of other splendid towns of the coast: Amalfi and Sorrento are both a 25 minute drive away. Why not also take a trip to the historical sites of Pompeii, located only 50min away.
