Interiors

A very traditional Tuscan country house from the eighteenth century, this 2-story property has been recently renovated and can accommodate up to 7 guests at the utmost comfort.

On the ground floor lies the spacious common area, composed by 2 opposite living rooms connected by a long open hallway. While in the first room you will find a set of sofas and coffee tables – a great area for entertaining -, in the second room, the imposing fireplace, set of armchairs, comfortable couch and TV compose the space as to make up a cozy lounging space perfect for enjoying a relaxing night-in. A washroom is also present on the ground floor.

The second floor, the heart of the property, con be reached through the outside staircase. Upon entering the living room you will be greeted by the grand fireplace that unites the space. Here, the rustic hardwood surfaces mixed with the liberty-patterned sets of armchairs and sofas transform the area into a delightful warm family room. From this space you can access the spacious fully equipped kitchen and dining room, as well as the bedrooms.

The property holds 4 bedrooms in total – 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms, one of which is air conditioned, and 1 single bedroom, all with en-suite bathrooms. The double bedroom also has an air conditioning unit and can be connected to one of the twin bedrooms. The property may also accommodate an 8th guest upon request.

Exteriors

Right outside the ground floor, 2 patios connect the inside to the outside of the property. These patios, where you will find sets of armchairs, an outdoor fireplace and a long dining table, compose the perfect outdoor space. The greenery that surrounds the property is simply stunning. A spacious garden with its Tuscan cypresses and an ancient stone well make up the most bucolic yet warming scenario, whilst the bird-shaped swimming pool is ready to receive guests all-year long.

Location

From the property you can reach the charming village of S. Giovanni d’Asso, the capital of the white truffle, at a short 5 minute drive. The city of Montalcino, famous for its wine, cuisine and the typically Tuscan greenery, is one of the most beautiful in regions in Tuscany and is easily accessible by a 20 minute drive. Another must-visit cities are Pienza, the Renaissance city known as the “utopian city”, Siena, a medieval masterpiece, San Quirico d’Orcia and the spa town of Bagno Vignoni.

The farmhouse is located in a historic estate, where they produce one of the best Tuscan olive oils. Olive oil tasting courses can be organized upon request as well as breakfast delivery, grocery service, local chef, cooking classes, wine tours, truffle hunting, mountain bikes and E-bikes and even Italian lessons. Among the activities available in the region, the thermal baths at Bagno Vignoni, horse rides and hot air balloon tours are among the must-have experiences.
