Interiors

Our Filicudi large house sleeps up to 8 people. There are six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Four of these are comfortable double bedrooms. The fourth double bedroom has a mezzanine level, and here you will find a further single bed. Finally, there are two twin bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a pretty kitchen in which you will find everything you might need. Here there is also a table that seats up to 6 people. Additionally, you will find a large living room with sofas and an open fireplace.

Exteriors

This Filicudi large house boasts beautiful views directly out over the sea and Filicudi island. Firstly, there are several terraces and plenty of sunbathing spots with many sun beds. The larger terrace has uninterrupted sea views. It’s the perfect spot for sunset cocktails. All guests can sit comfortable around the large outdoor dining table, which has beautiful sea views. Furthermore there is a sunbathing platform with lovely views and two sun beds.

Location

This Aeolian large house is situated on Filicudi, which is a little-known volcanic island north of Sicily. The island is a hidden gem set in the lapis lazuli Tyrrhenian Sea. The centre of the island is Filicudi Port, where the ferry from nearby Palermo docks. Here (unlike on the rest of the island) you’ll find shops, restaurants and bars. Filicudi is a romantic and unique destination. The port is lit up at night by volcanic flares from Stromboli on the distant horizon. Here you’ll also find rental companies for boats and transport to get around this remote paradise. They also offer diving equipment. To live like a local, rent out one of the traditional gozzo fishing boats and head off to explore the island’s many secret coves!

Filicudi is famous for its crystal clear water and spectacular sunsets. For the best of these head to the Belvedere walkway near Pecorini village and look out over the volcanic cone of Alicudi as the sea turns pink and gold. Finally, for those who want to learn about the island’s ancient history, a visit to the prehistoric village on Capo Graziano is obligatory. Here at the hill’s summit you’ll discover the ancient circular bases that formed the base of the dwellings of the island’s first residents.
